Snake Tongues

60" x 24" x 1/2" (left) 24" x 24" x 1/2" (right)
copper pipe, copper joints, insulation foam cast tongues
Inspired by readings on the Caspian Cobras in the desert regions of Iran, these copper snakes represent in abstract a longing to be "real" ones and speak a native tongue, but of course are failing in that longing.
